Greetings, and welcome to our bulletin full of information on exciting Russian events.

Forget all your worries and your woes.  Help us to wave goodbye to February and welcome March.     Russian Centre in Scotland ‘Haven’ welcomes everyone to celebrate one of the oldest festivals - the Russian feast called Maslenitsa – pancake week (just like Shrove Tuesday!)   You are all invited to join in the festivities with a concert and party.   A concert with singing and dancing, traditional games, celebrations and, of course, home-made pancakes! Plus a raffle with lots of prizes.   All guests are please asked to bring pancakes and other treats.   Tickets are available at the door: adults £3, a couple £5, children of all ages free, however, if you can, please pre-order your ticket by dropping us a line to [email protected].      The event kicks off at 13:30 in March 1, 2014 in Adelfi Centre, 12 Commercial Road, Gorbals, Glasgow, G5 OPQ.

Greetings, and welcome to our bulletin full of information on exciting Russian events.   RCS Haven is welcoming anyone who is interested in studying Russian language, literature and culture. We have English and Russian language lessons. There are a library, Art studio for children and Web-design Studio.

The Russian center in Scotland “Haven” is pleased to inform you that our Russian classes resume in January.  On Monday the first class runs from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, and is for beginners. It aims to introduce students to the Russian language and to provide them with basic language skills. The second class runs from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and is for intermediate to advanced students. It is aimed towards those who already have a working knowledge of Russian, and want to improve their language skills, as well as become better acquainted with Russian culture.

On the 26th January the RCS Haven's Russian School will participate in the  Children's art   festival "Where The Wizards Live" organised by the "Slovo" Centre (Aberdeen),   Dandy Russian School with support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.   The bus will be arranged for the festival participants, and all others may come to Dandy themselves to look at the children's art.   For questions regarding the festival please contact [email protected]  or [email protected]

Dear Friends!   You are cordially invited to our New Year/Christmas celebrations at 1pm 21st December at Broomhill Church of Scotland, 64-66 Randolph Road, G11 7JL   The programme will include a production of ‘Mary’s Stories’, traditional dances, competitions/games for both children and adults and tea and coffee.  We will have the use of two halls: one large for the show and another smaller one for the use of mothers with small children.   Tickets are £10 for one child and parent, including a gift.  If you would like to invite other adults to the celebrations, an additional
