Dear friends and those who are interested in learning Russian, Russian Centre in Scotland wishes you a Happy Easter!

RCS Haven is happy to inform that we open our evening English class on Thursdays from 7 pm to 8 pm at 11 Duke Street (G4 0UL). Our English language teacher, John, lives in Glasgow and has travelled and taught all over the world, including locations in Africa, Asia and Europe. He is a highly experienced and qualified teacher and trainer, whose specialisms are IELTS preparation, English for Work, Academic English and Conversational English.  If you interested in, please, confirm your attendance via email [email protected] or by phone 0141 55 22 144

RCS Haven, together with the Scotland Russian Forum, with the support of Glasgow City Council, continues the project with the involvement of Scottish schoolchildren in studying Russian culture and language.   After the Festive season, the Russian clubs have begun to work in Shawlands Academy (the full block), All Saints RC Secondary (the full block) and Milngavie Primary (the reduced block).   During the classes the students get acquainted with the history and culture of Russia, learn the basics of the language.   Students who have completed the first block will start the second stage of training, where we plan to conduct the training program in accordance with the standards of SQA Russian for Life and for Work.   If you want the school where your child study to join this project, please talk to the teachers.

In January, the Russian Centre in Scotland Haven participated in an annual meeting of Scottish school children with the representatives of organizations and enterprises interested in maintaining foreign language teaching.   ‘Business Brunchces: Language skills in the World of Work’ in Glasgow is carried out by the Scotland’s National Centre for Languages (SCILT) for the purpose of enhancing the motivation of school pupils to study various languages.   The pupils eagerly approached the RCS Haven stand, asked questions and attended two trial lessons which were conducted by Natalya Krisanova, a teacher of Russian school at RCS Haven.
