Scottish and Don Cossacks Association organising Highland Warrior Challenge event as part of Highland games during World Pipe band Championship this August. For the second time team of Cossacks from Rostov on Don going to compete at this tournament. We would like to invite everybody to participate in this cultural and sport event as a spectator or competitor. Highland Warrior challenge it is triathlon. It consists of three disciplines like Scottish broad swords fencing, Backhold wrestling and fisticuffs.   Games start on 12th of August at 12.00. at Glasgow Green, Greendyke St, Saltmarket, Glasgow G1 5DB.

On the 21’st June 2017 the examinations of the Russian language, GCE A Level were held in the United Kingdom.   For the first time, the Russian school of RCS Haven, not only prepared the students, but also organized all examinations in its premises at 11 Duke Street, Scotland Glasgow in 2017.   RCS Haven is the only Russian language training centre in Glasgow accredited for the GCSE and GCE A Level exams in the Russian language (Registration number EDEXCEL - 70233).

 RCS Haven's final concert of the year will take place on the 17th of June, where together we will celebrate the end of the academic year, enjoy the performances of our students, award certificates and gifts to the many competition winners. The last day, at the same time, will become an opportunity to discuss future plans for the school. Next year, the school will continue to prepare students to partake in the exams in Glasgow: ‘Russian for Life and Work’ (SQA), GCSE and GCE A-Level Russian. Thanks to the initiative of parents of Adelphi Centre, a children's library will be open during the school's opening hours throughout the month of August. Over the summer, our volunteers will check the stock and create a catalogue of available books. If you have any books that you no longer need or your child has outgrown, the school would be happy to accept them as a gift to the library.

BT Murrayfield in Edinburgh is hosting the Finals of the European Rugby Champions Cup on Saturday 13 May.  Two Russian clubs, Enisei-STM and Krasny Yar will have qualified for the season’s Challenge Cup and will now play in the inaugural final of the Continental Shield at BT Murrayfield (kick-off 12 Noon, back pitch) on Saturday, 13 May. Supporters wishing to come and watch this match will need to buy a ticket for the European Rugby Champions Cup Final (Saturday 13 May) which will also allow entry into the match between current Aviva Premiership Champions Saracens and Clermont Auvergne, of France (kick-off, 5pm).   Tickets are available here http://www.epcrugby.com/edinburgh-2017.php

We have English and Russian language lessons. There are a library, Art studio for children and Web-design Studio. We are happy to inform, that recenty the new e-book by Viktor Bulkin, Glasgow-based writer, was published. Mr Bulkin lives and works on his books in Glasgow, as well as teaching chess in Russian School for children.
